I’m Matthew Graham — a lifelong runner, Ironman, and senior project manager. I’ve represented Great Britain & Northern Ireland, competed in the American NCAA system, and run 2:36 for the marathon while leading large-scale transformation projects across complex organisations.I know what it takes to perform at a high level — both on the roads and in the boardroom.With personal bests of 8:09 for 3000m, 14:13 for 5000m, and 30:05 for 10,000m, I’ve trained and competed at the sharp end of endurance sport. But I’ve also built a successful professional career, managing the demands of leadership and deadlines while continuing to train and race at a high level.That dual perspective is at the heart of my coaching philosophy.I believe in consistency over perfection, and in the power of a smart, structured approach. You don’t need to run 100-mile weeks to run a fast marathon — I ran 2:36 off no more than 60 miles per week at peak. It’s about quality, not quantity, and building a plan that fits your life, not one that overwhelms it.I coach athletes online through On Your Marks Running Coaching, where all coaching plans are delivered under their platform. When you sign up, you’ll still work directly with me — I’ll design your plan, support your training, and help you balance running with the rest of life.Whether you’re aiming for a sub-3 marathon, a Parkrun PB, or your first structured training block, I’ll work with you to build a plan that moves the needle — without burning you out.

Yes—if it supports your goal, I’ll recommend strength work, cross-training (e.g. bike/swim), and recovery strategies.Can I switch from a one-off plan to monthly coaching later?
Absolutely. Many runners start with a one-off plan and move to monthly coaching when they want more support and flexibility.Do you coach trail, ultra, or triathlon athletes?
My focus is road running from 5K to marathon. If your goal is outside that scope, feel free to reach out—I’m happy to refer you to someone who fits better.
